This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Surutapalli, a village in Chitoor district of Andhra Pradesh. This is the only temple in the world where Lord Shiva is seen in a reclining posture in the lap of his consort Parvati as Sarva Mangalambika. The legends say that when Lord Shiva proceeded back to his abode in Kailash after consuming the Halahala poison that rose during the churning of the ocean of milk, he felt exhausted and decided to lie down and relax here.
