HOW TO REMOVE THE SHORTCUT VIRUS

Hello everyone,


Now a days we are commonly affected by worm which is creating shortcuts of original folders in external Pen Drive or HDD's.


Today I am going to explain you in detail how to remove this virus.


Step 1: 

Click on the below link and download the file "AutorunExterminator"

Step  2  : 


Now install the software, then insert ur pendrive and then scan the    device to remove the the autorun virus file.


Step  3  : 


Click on "Start" --> Run --> type cmd and click on OK. 

Here I assume your drive letter as R: 

Now type this command. 
attrib –a -h -r -s /s /d R:\*.* 

You can copy the above command --> Right-click in the Command Prompt and 

paste it then press Enter. 
Note : Replace the letter R with your drive letter. 


Thats it now u can see the original folders as hidden folders and remove the shortcu folers.


Procedure 2 : -


Step 1 : 

Insert your virus effected pendrive or HDD and then download a software called Combofix from the following link

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/protected/cc2e231ec6d17843b35cd183ccd75852/4e64ad91/ComboFix.exe


Step 2 :

Now close all programs your running and double click on the combofix executable file and run the program, do not touch your system untill it restarts the system scan for virus and give u the conformation that virus has been removed.
